The Heart Behind Little Balanced Beings

Why this work matters—and why I believe healing is possible for every child, every family, and every individual.

I believe that some of our biggest challenges can become our greatest teachers.

Growing up, I appeared to have a happy, active childhood. I was involved in school, sports, friendships, and all the things that looked "normal" from the outside. But beneath the surface, I quietly struggled with chronic migraines, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and a feeling of emptiness.

Like many children, I experienced childhood trauma that I didn't have the understanding or support to process. I carried that experience in silence for many years, unaware that the ways I had learned to survive were also keeping me from truly living. I learned to keep moving forward, pushing my feelings aside and believing that what I was experiencing was simply part of who I was. Over time, those unhealed experiences began to surface in ways I couldn't explain—through my physical health, my inner dialogue, and the patterns I found myself repeating in relationships.

When I was sixteen, another life-changing experience became the catalyst that shifted everything. What felt like my lowest point eventually became the beginning of something unexpected: a journey back to myself.

Instead of asking, "What's wrong with me?" I began asking, "What happened to me—and how can I heal?"

That question changed my life.

Over the years, I immersed myself in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, breathwork, nervous system healing, spiritual exploration, and personal growth. Each practice helped me understand that healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about remembering who you've always been beneath the layers of pain, fear, and survival.

Today, I live with a sense of peace, joy, and self-compassion that once felt impossible. My life isn't perfect, and I believe healing is a lifelong journey. But I now have the tools, awareness, and resilience to navigate life's challenges with confidence and grace.

Looking back, I wouldn't erase my experiences because they shaped the person I am today. They taught me the power of resilience, the importance of self-awareness, and the incredible capacity we all have to heal.

That is why I created Little Balanced Beings.

My mission is to offer children, teens, young adults, and families the support, tools, and safe spaces I wish I had growing up. Through trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and whole-person wellness practices, I help others build resilience, reconnect with themselves, and discover that healing is always possible.

Because I know firsthand that healing doesn't just change one life—it has the power to transform generations.

Today, it is my greatest joy to share the tools and practices that helped me heal, so children, teens, young adults, and families can discover for themselves that healing is possible, and it begins with one small shift—from believing we are broken to reconnecting with the wholeness that has always been within us.

The Why Behind My Work

I believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow up feeling safe, seen, supported, and connected to their authentic self. Children are not born broken—they are born whole. When they experience life's challenges, they deserve compassionate support that helps them reconnect with their inner strength, resilience, and sense of belonging.

Children are our future, and the seeds we plant today help shape the adults they will become. By introducing yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and emotional awareness early in life, we give children lifelong tools to navigate challenges with confidence, self-awareness, resilience, and compassion.

Like adults, children experience stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. They deserve healthy, accessible practices that help them regulate their nervous systems, understand their feelings, and trust the wisdom within themselves. When we nurture these skills in children, we strengthen families, deepen connection, and create spaces where everyone can grow together.

I also believe healing begins with us. As parents, caregivers, and educators, the relationship we have with ourselves shapes the relationships we build with our children. When we model self-awareness, emotional well-being, and self-compassion, we give children permission to embrace those qualities within themselves.

My hope is to inspire children and families to live with intention, honor themselves and one another, practice kindness and empathy, and remember that even the smallest moments of presence, connection, and love can create lasting change.

Together, we can nurture a generation of children who feel resilient, connected, and empowered to thrive—not only for themselves, but for the generations that follow.

Our Vision

I envision a world where every child grows up feeling safe, seen, supported, and deeply connected to who they are. A world where children and families have the support they need to navigate life's challenges with resilience, compassion, and a strong sense of self.

My vision is to help create a generation of children who grow up knowing they have always been enough—children who recognize their inherent worth, trust themselves, embrace their emotions, and move through life with confidence, authenticity, and a sense of belonging.

Because when we nurture the well-being of one child, one family, or one individual, we create a ripple effect that has the power to positively impact generations to come.
